IELTS Speaking Part 2: IELTS Cue Card

- Globalization and technology have indeed opened up new markets and increased competition.
- Nowadays, people choose smart tricks to solve problems instead of using old/hard methods.
- Today, I would like to share my experience when a person helped me solve a problem intelligently.
- Last year one of my friends helped me to clear my exam. As we know, we all are suffering from pandemic problems, so th to shut down all educational services.
- This decision was badly affected education. I filled a government exam last year, and I joined an institute for it, but I had to stay home due to the lockdown.
What the problem was? and How he/she solved it?
- I was fresher so I could prepare for the exam by myself.
- I shared this problem with my friends because they also filled the same exam. One of my friends decided to start internet classes. Luckily, some of my friends are very good at math, reasoning, and general knowledge, so each took responsibility to teach one subject.
- This trick took some time to adjust, but we did it very well and enjoyed it a lot. We all did study for five to six months.
Explain why you think he/ she did it in a smart way? and Conclusion:
- I think she intelligently solved the problem because we first decided to gather in one friend’s house for study, which was problematic. My friends live in a different part of the city, and due to lockdown, the police did not permit them to move from one place to another. We all thanked her for giving an intelligent solution.
- So in that way we solve the problem.
- Everyone faces problems in life.
- Some people have a great presence of mind and can solve problems without panicking.
- I remember it was about six months ago.
- My aunt and uncle had come to our place and my mother was preparing dinner for them.
- As my mother was putting salt in the cheese curry, the box of salt slipped from her hand and a lot of salt fell into the dish.
- As my mother had not prepared anything else she started panicking because it was already dinnertime.
- My aunt came into the kitchen when she saw that my mother was looking troubled.
- She told my mother not to panic at all.
- She kneaded some dough and put 3 to 4 balls of dough into the curry.
- After about 15 minutes she removed the door balls and asked my mother to taste the curry.
- There was no excess salt in the dish anymore.
- My mother would not have been able to solve this problem on her own.
- She had started thinking that the whole curry dish would have to be thrown and she would have to cook the dish all over again.
- But my aunt saved the situation, and nobody even came to know that the problem had happened.
- My aunt Paramjeet is a great cook, and she can fix her dinner for 20 people in just one hour.

- She also conducts cookery classes during the summer vacations.
- She is in her mid-forties but looks much younger.
- Whenever anyone in our family faces any problem, they seek her help for a solution.
